The 2011 MABA Alpaca Celebration and the 2nd Maryland Alpacas and Fleece Festival were both a success. Positive response from alpaca breeders, fiber enthusiasts and the general public was overwhelming. Currently, we are planning to repeat both events, again as back-to-back weekends for November 2012.

During a general membership meeting held on the Saturday evening of the Fleece Festival, a majority voted to go forward with next year's halter show. Alternate dates and venues were discussed and will be further researched, but for now, we are planning to hold next year's show at the Westminster Ag Center on the 2nd weekend in November. In addition, the Howard County Fairgrounds has the 3rd weekend in November reserved for next year's Fleece Festival.
